So, you want to start your own group!

There are a couple of steps which will start you on your way, but first, why start a user group?
  1. You always wanted a baby but couldn't stand changing diapers.
  2. You already have a baby but still you don't have enough to do.
  3. You want to network with like minded individuals.
  4. You want all your technical questions answered but have used up all your software vendors free support.

  3. Pick a cool name!
  4. Draw up a basic plan.
    • Do you have a location? Find an organization that might sponsor your location.(local hall, church, hotel, etc.)
    • How will you fill the meeting time? Are you going to provide quest speakers? etc.
    • How will basic costs be covered? ie. handouts, snacks, meeting space, etc.
